the academic year 2025/2026 (first edition) as part of
the project titled "IMPROVE - International Mission to Promote Research and Optimal Values in Education" implemented by Lodz University of Technology as part of the STER programme – Internationalization of doctoral schools – 2024 Call, financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange

I would like to inform you that on 23 April, an update of the Regulations for participation in the task "Crossing borders and horizons" was introduced. The amendment applies to the provisions contained in § 4 (4).

Previous wording:
Mobility co-financed by the Project covers the implementation of substantive activities only on working days.
Current wording:
Mobility co-financed by the Project covers the implementation of substantive activities only for the duration of the Project.

I would like to remind you that the deadline for the submission of applications is 30 April this year - I warmly encourage you to apply.

regarding the deadlines for submitting documents for NAWA mobility from the project titled:

"IMPROVE - International Mission to Promote Research
and Optimal Values in Education” implemented under the STER NAWA programme, task 2 “Crossing borders and horizons”,

for the best doctoral candidates from Poland and abroad, pursuing training at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025/2026 (1st edition)

The Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology and the International Cooperation Centre of Lodz University of Technology are pleased to announce the launch of recruitment for the best doctoral candidates from Poland and abroad, pursuing education at IDS TUL for NAWA mobility funding in the project entitled: "IMPROVE", implemented by Lodz University of Technology as part of the STER programme – internationalisation of doctoral schools – 2024 Call.

The project is implemented by Lodz University of Technology under an agreement with the National Agency for Academic Exchange and financed from NAWA funds.

The main objective of the Programme is to provide systemic support for the internationalisation of doctoral schools in every aspect of internationalisation, i.e. from the development of doctoral candidates’ mobility through creating an international dimension of schools, cooperation with foreign partners, improving the quality of education, and ending with building the international image of the doctoral school and acquiring foreign doctoral candidates.

Financing the foreign mobility of the best doctoral candidates from Poland
and from abroad, pursuing education at a doctoral school may be provided for, among others:

participation of doctoral students in scientific, research or training internships undertaken for the purpose of conducting scientific research
or obtaining knowledge and skills related to conducting scientific research in foreign scientific and research units,
participation of doctoral candidates in artistic internships undertaken for the purpose of conducting artistic activities or acquiring knowledge and skills related to conducting artistic activities in foreign artistic units.

The trips should be completed by 30/09/2026 at the latest.

The duration of the mobility is a minimum of 1 month (a full 30 calendar days, including a total of two days for travel and return), 2 months or a maximum of 3 months.

The project will provide project participants with funding for:

flat-rate living and accommodation costs (from PLN 4,000 to PLN 12,000 per month) depending on the country of departure

and

travel costs (i.e. travel, insurance and visa) at a flat rate (from PLN 1,000 to PLN 6,500) depending on the country of departure.

Applications for the first edition are scheduled to be accepted from April 7, 2025 to April 30, 2025.
