Question: what is the amount of the doctoral scholarship?
Answer: Doctoral scholarship is paid up to 4 years.
The scholarships are as follows:
- Within first two years of training 3,466.90 gross PLN (per month)
- After mid-term evaluation 5,340.90 gross PLN (per month)
Question: What are the acceptable forms of employment of a doctoral candidate pursuing his/her doctoral training in a doctoral school?
Answer: The table below presents the examples of employment of a doctoral candidate who pursues his/her training in a doctoral school, before and after the mid-term evaluation, and the way this employment influences the amount of the doctoral scholarship the doctoral candidate is entitled to receive.

The table has been prepared on the basis of the provisions of the Act in the wording in effect until September 30, 2023. As of October 1, 2023, the new wording of Article 209, (1a) will apply:
"1a. A doctoral scholarship shall not be awarded to a doctoral student whose training at a doctoral school involves an obligation to be employed by the entity running the doctoral school:
1) under an employment contract;
2) with a salary that exceeds that of a professor."
and (10) in Article 209 of the Act will be repealed.
