Dear Doctoral Candidates,
As the deadline for the mid-term evaluation is approaching, on behalf of the Director of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at the Lodz University of Technology, we are providing you with the cover letter (Appendix 1a) concerning the mid-term evaluation and related documents.
We would like to kindly inform you that the deadline for submitting the documents necessary for the mid-term evaluation:
-
mid-term evaluation report on the implementation of the IRP, reviewed by the Supervisor(s) (Appendix 2),
-
confirmation of scientific and/or artistic and popularisation achievements related to the implementation of the IRP,
-
opinion of the Supervisor on the progress of the Doctoral Candidate (Appendix 4)
expires on July 3, 2025.
The documents should be delivered in a folder to the Office of the IDS TUL in hard copy during the PhD students' opening hours.

Multimedia presentation on the research results to date, together with a discussion of these results in correlation with the IPB (Appendix 3),
- and confirmations of the publication of articles published after the deadline for submission of the complete set of documents necessary for the mid-term evaluation (after 3 July 2025) should be submitted to the IDS TUL office and sent electronically to the e-mail address: isd@adm.p.lodz.pl no later than
August 18, 2025.
According to the schedule (Appendix 5a), the mid-term evaluation will take place from 3-17 September 2025. The exact date and time of the mid-term evaluation will be communicated to you individually in an email at a later date by the Mid-term Evaluation Committee.
The membership of the Mid-term Evaluation Committees will be made public (on the IDS TUL website) as soon as they are appointed by June 24, 2025.
The following factors will be taken into account in the mid-term evaluation:

assessment of the timeliness of the dissertation work schedule and its compliance with the Individual Research Plan,

assessment of the progress of the training programme,
-
assessment of scientific and/or artistic achievements and popularisation achievements related to IPB of the Doctoral Candidate,
-
assessment of the presentation prepared and delivered by the Doctoral Candidate;
-
evaluation of the answers to the questions of the Mid-term Evaluation Committee.
