The schedule may be subject to change. All information will be published on the IDS TUL website on an ongoing basis.
By September 30, 2025, the applicant is required to check messages on the Candidate Portal at least once a day, due to the possibility of receiving feedback regarding submitted documents, information about the place and time of the interview, and other information related to the recruitment process. The applicant is also required to check the email address provided during registration on the Candidate Portal, due to the possibility of receiving feedback regarding the recruitment process.
I Registration of Applicants through the recruitment portal
- Registration of applicants for IDS TUL is carried out through the recruitment portal of Lodz University of Technology available at: https://e.recruitment.p.lodz.pl/
- The applicant for the IDS TUL registers through the recruitment portal of Lodz University of Technology, called the Candidate Portal, through:
- creating an account in the Candidate Portal,
- accepting the terms and conditions of the admission procedure,
- filling in the mandatory fields, choosing one leading discipline in which the training program at IDS TUL will be implemented,
- paying the recruitment fee
- In the event of problems with registration through the Candidate Portal, the Applicant is asked to contact the IDS TUL Office at the following e-mail address: recruitment_ids@info.p.lodz.pl
Recruitment fee
The one-time, non-refundable recruitment fee for processing the application is PLN 200. The fee must be paid using the electronic payment available on the Candidate Portal.
II Uploading recruitment documents through the Candidate Portal

- Scans of the recruitment documents referred to in § 5 of Resolution No. 18/2025 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 26 February 2025 on the rules for admission to the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025/2026, should be clear and legible.

- Original documents submitted at the stage of the recruitment procedure will be required only from candidates who receive a positive result from the interview and will be conditionally qualified to IDS TUL.

- The original documents should be submitted to the IDS TUL Office within the time limit indicated in § 6 (5) of the above-mentioned resolution, in a white tied folder of A4 format, during the opening hours of the office for doctoral candidates of IDS TUL, i.e.

- Candidates who have completed their master's studies, but at the time of submitting recruitment documents do not yet have a diploma of graduation, submit along with the recruitment documentation a certificate from the Dean's Office (or the University) with the final diploma assessment (mark). Candidates are asked to submit a request for such a certificate in advance to their Dean's Office. Candidates must submit their diploma as soon as it is available.

Detailed criteria for the assessment of interviews are set out in Appendix 3 to Resolution No. 18/2025 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 26 February 2025 on the rules for admission to the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025/2026
IV Results of the admission procedure
- The result of the qualification procedure will be published on the IDS TUL website (aggregate results) and in the Candidate Portal (individual results).
- Pursuant to § 6 (6) of the Resolution No. 18/2025 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 26 February 2025 on the rules for admission to the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025/2026, a person admitted to IDS TUL begins education and acquires the rights of a doctoral candidate at the moment of taking the oath and after signing the oath.
V Special provisions
Candidates with special individual needs, including disability, chronic disease
- The IDS TUL Office is available for Candidates with special individual needs, including disability, chronic diseases (there is an elevator in the A33 building).
- Candidates who, due to special individual needs, including disability, chronic disease, whose health condition prevents them from participating in the interview, submit an application (along with justification) to Lodz University of Technology Granting Individual Support to Persons with Disabilities until August 14, 2025.

- The procedure and detailed rules for granting support are set out in Resolution No. 18/2025 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 26 February 2025 on the rules for admission to the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025/2026 and the Rules for the awarding of individual support within the framework of a subjective subsidy for tasks related to ensuring conditions for disabled persons to participate fully in the process of enrolment to university studies, doctoral schools, education at university studies and doctoral schools or carrying out scientific activity (Article 365 (6) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e.: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) in force at Lodz University of Technology.
VI Referral for recruitment to IDS TUL
- Persons referred to in Article 186 (2) of the Act of July 20, 2018,
Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571 ), including the beneficiaries of the "Diamond Grant" program, submit an application in accordance with the template set out in Appendix 2 to Resolution No. 18/2025 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 26 February 2025 on the rules for admission to the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025/2026 – to the Head of the competent Discipline Council no later than August 14, 2025. The application should contain a description of the candidate's scientific achievements (in order to document achievements, copies of materials confirming the above-mentioned achievements should be attached to the application) and a positive opinion of the candidate's supervisor or scientific supervisor (applies to first-cycle or uniform master's studies) and contact details, including the candidate's e-mail address. - The Head of the Discipline Council prepares a decision with justification within 3 working days from the date of receipt of the application and submits it to the Candidate by e-mail to the e-mail address of the Candidate indicated in the application and to the IDS TUL Office within this period.
- The candidate attaches a positive decision to the recruitment documents. A negative decision does not entitle the Candidate to participate in recruitment to IDS TUL.
VII Selection of a scientific supervisor from outside Lodz University of Technology
- It is allowed to choose a research supervisor from outside TUL. In this situation, the Candidate submits an application for consent to the selection of a scientific supervisor from outside Lodz University of Technology in accordance with the template set out in Appendix 8 to Resolution No. 18/2025 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 26 February 2025 on the rules for admission to the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology in the academic year 2025 – to the Head of the competent Discipline Council no later than August 14, 2025. The application contains a justification, a list of scientific achievements and the scientific profile of the indicated supervisor and the e-mail address of the Candidate and the indicated scientific supervisor. The Candidate attaches a statement to the application in accordance with the template set out in Appendix 1 to the resolution indicated in point II (2) of this schedule.
- The Head of the Discipline Council issues a recommendation (positive or negative) with justification within 3 working days from the date of receipt of the application and submits it to the Candidate by e-mail to the e-mail address of the Candidate indicated in the application and to the IDS TUL Office within this period.
- The candidate attaches a positive recommendation to the recruitment documents. In the event of a negative recommendation, the Candidate may apply for consent to the selection of another supervisor from outside TUL or choose a research supervisor from TUL, but in both cases within the required deadlines. Agreeing on the candidacy of a research supervisor from outside TUL or choosing a research supervisor from TUL is a prerequisite to participate in recruitment to IDS TUL.
