VI Multidisciplinary Conference of PhD Students of the University of Szczecin „MKDUS 2.0”
Dear All,
We are pleased to invite you for the sixth time to the International Multidisciplinary Conference of PhD Students of the University of Szczecin MKDUS 2.0. The Conference will be held on 17-19.06.2026 on the MS Teams platform. Last year's editions were very popular for Polish and foreign participants. During the Conference, Speakers had the opportunity to share their diverse interests, and their inspiring speeches were an excellent introduction to the discussion.
We believe that this year will be the same, and the interdisciplinary nature of the Conference will be a new experience for you and will allow you to network with people representing different fields of science. This is the only opportunity to exchange your inspirations.
The conference will take place online via the MS Teams platform. The cost of participation in the Conference without publication is PLN 90 (1st round), PLN 110 (2nd round), PLN 150 (3rd round).
Publication is also possible at a cost of PLN 200.
We encourage you to fill in the registration form. Registration form (EN): https://tiny.pl/m3fmw4fvg
Description of the Conference:
GREEN PANEL – 17.06.2026
Salus Futuri – man between biology, technology and social evolution
Scientific disciplines: mathematics, computer science, biological sciences, physical sciences, earth and environmental sciences, physical culture sciences, medical sciences, health sciences, sociological sciences, as well as other related fields.
This year’s theme will be ‘Salus Futuri – man between biology, technology and social evolution’. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the panel, we want to create a space for free and open presentation of research. If you solve complex equations, analyse processes in nature and the universe, are interested in the structure of matter, human health, plant and animal physiology, environmental studies or other aspects of natural and exact sciences – this panel is for you! We invite you to participate on the first day of the conference – 17 June 2026, as part of the 6th edition of the International Multidisciplinary Doctoral Conference of the University of Szczecin MKDUS 2.0.
We encourage you to present your papers and actively participate in the scientific discussion. Speeches may be presented in Polish or English. The maximum presentation time is 15 minutes. See you there!
RED PANEL – 18.06.2026
Dimensions of truth(s). Concepts, entanglements, meaning in the humanities
Academic disciplines: philosophy, history, linguistics, literary studies, theological and cultural and religious sciences, pedagogy.
This year’s edition of the humanities panel invites you to reflect on the notion of truth. Truth can be seen as a representation of reality and its mechanisms – a source of meaning, axiology, faith, and identity, shaping everyday life, customs, rituals, and decisions. The question of its nature – absolute or relative, objective or socially constructed – has never been definitively resolved, yet has always formed the cultural foundation of an era. Recent years have brought new challenges, with talk of a crisis of truth, ‘fake news’, and the era of ‘post-truth’. We encourage you to present your own reflections and research.
Speeches may be presented in Polish and English, and the maximum speaking time is 20 minutes. See you on 18 June!
PURPLE PANEL – 19.06.2026
Interdisciplinary challenges of social sciences in contemporary resource management
Scientific disciplines: economics and finance, management and quality sciences, socio-economic geography and spatial management, political and administrative sciences, legal sciences, security sciences, social communication and media sciences and psychology.
This year’s panel theme will be: ‘Interdisciplinary challenges of social sciences in contemporary resource management’. The third day of the conference will be a space for open debate focused on the management of resources such as human capital, financial capital, time, space, rights and material goods. The event will open with speeches by invited special guests and experts, followed by a session of PhD student papers divided into thematic panels. Each session will include a scientific discussion. We particularly encourage presentations addressing current issues, new methodological approaches and research with application potential. The Purple Panel will take place on the third day of the conference – 19 June 2026.
