.
Dear All,
We are pleased to invite you for the fifth time to the International Multidisciplinary Conference of PhD Students of the University of Szczecin MKDUS 2.0. The Conference will be held on 25-27.06.2025 on the MS Teams platform. Last year's editions were very popular for Polish and foreign participants. During the Conference, Speakers had the opportunity to share their diverse interests, and their inspiring speeches were an excellent introduction to the discussion.
We believe that this year will be the same, and the interdisciplinary nature of the Conference will be a new experience for you and will allow you to network with people representing different fields of science. This is the only opportunity to exchange your inspirations.
The conference will take place online via the MS Teams platform. The cost of participation in the Conference without publication is PLN 80 (1st round), PLN 100 (2nd round). Publication is also possible at a cost of PLN 200.
We encourage you to fill in the registration form. Registration form (EN): https://tiny.pl/dw2f_835

We encourage you to present your papers and actively participate in the scientific discussion. Speeches may be presented in Polish or English. The maximum presentation time is 15 minutes. See you there!
RED PANEL – 26.06.2024
Faces of power - mechanisms of exercise, resistance, transformation
Academic disciplines: philosophy, history, linguistics, literary studies, theological and cultural and religious sciences, pedagogy.
The theme of this year's red panel is ‘The faces of power - mechanisms of exercise, resistance, transformation’. Power is a universal, multiform and ambiguous phenomenon; as a tool for ruling and transforming reality, while at the same time determining the social status of its depositors, it has been and still is an object of ambition, a self-sufficient goal, the subject of myths, treatises and morality tales. Questions of power seem to be always relevant. Our intention is to create a space for the description and analysis of power in its various contexts and aspects, with power understood very broadly - in political, anthropological, social, philosophical, literary, theological and historical dimensions. We want to reflect together on the issue of power, the various mechanisms of its exercise, legitimisation and loss, the relations between the rulers and the ruled, the forms and content of resistance to power and, finally, its evolution. The issues of interest can be captured by considering issues of democracy, dictatorship, revolution, tradition, ideas, ideology, violence, law. Theorists and practitioners of power, historical figures and analysts of their actions can also provide inspiration. Representatives of all humanities disciplines are cordially invited to present their research and participate in the discussion. We hope that together we will be able to build a place for the exchange of knowledge and reflection on issues of interest to us, which are of great topical importance.
Speeches may be presented in Polish and English, and the maximum speaking time is 20 minutes. See you on 26 June!
PURPLE PANEL – 27.06.2025
A world in transition: new paradigms for the social sciences
Scientific disciplines: economics and finance, management and quality sciences, socio-economic geography and spatial management, political and administrative sciences, legal sciences, security sciences, social communication and media sciences and psychology.
This year's panel theme will be: ‘A world under reconstruction: new paradigms for the social sciences’. The third day of the conference will be a space to reflect on the dynamically changing social, economic and political realities and the new challenges facing the social sciences in the 21st century. The event will open with speeches by invited special guests and experts who will present their perspectives on the processes of change facing contemporary society and science. This will be followed by a session of papers by PhD students, divided into thematic panels in line with the speakers' research areas. Each session will be followed by a scientific discussion to explore the issues raised in greater depth. We are keen for this panel to be a space for open debate, interdisciplinary exchange of views and presentation of the practical dimensions of social research. We particularly encourage presentations addressing current issues, new methodological approaches and research with application potential. The Purple Panel will take place on the third day of the conference - 27 June 2025.
Speeches may be presented in Polish or English. The maximum presentation time is 10 minutes. See you there!
