Both trainings are carried out as part of the project “Enhancing the qualifications and competencies of teaching staff at Lodz University of Technology,” co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 Program, Priority 1 Skills, Action 01.05 Skills in Higher Education, contract No. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0151/23-00.

“Pillars of Effective Communication”

Training information:
This two-day course includes two complementary modules that develop skills in conscious, empathetic, and assertive communication — key elements in building professional relationships based on respect, trust, and cooperation.
Day 1: Empathic Communication (NVC) and Emotion Management
How to respond in situations of tension, frustration, or helplessness? How to communicate mindfully — with others and with yourself? This module focuses on better understanding and regulating emotions in everyday communication.
Day 2: Assertiveness and Feedback — Communication with Respect and Clarity
Practical techniques for assertiveness and providing constructive feedback — supporting development, enabling productive conversations, and fostering a positive cooperation environment.

“Methodology 4.0: DT, CBL, PBL in Practice”

Training information:
This two-day course is intended for academic teachers interested in developing their teaching competencies through the use of modern active learning methods that support the development of future-oriented skills.
The training is available at two levels: basic (Edition 1) and advanced (Edition 2)
- Basic level (Edition 1) focuses on understanding the principles, tools, and stages of working with active learning methods such as Design Thinking, Challenge-Based Learning, and Problem-Based Learning, which help students develop creativity, critical thinking, and the ability to design solutions to real-world problems. The course will include examples of instructional scenarios that support group collaboration, integration of different perspectives, and creative approaches to challenges.
- Advanced level (Edition 2) focuses on the practical implementation of modern teaching methods consistent with the concepts of Methodology 4.0, as well as deepening knowledge of Design Thinking, Challenge-Based Learning, and Problem-Based Learning. Participants will design modules and lesson scenarios that engage students in solving real problems and support creative thinking, as well as improve their skills in moderating teamwork.
