Dear PhD Candidates of Lodz University of Technology,

You are warmly invited to participate in the upcoming edition of the training course “Modern Academic Teaching – Coaching, Mentoring and Tutoring in Work with Students”.

The training is organised within the project “Improving the qualifications and competences of teaching staff at Lodz University of Technology”, co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Social Development Programme 2021–2027, Priority I: Skills, Measure 01.05: Skills in Higher Education (agreement no. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0151/23-00).

Training dates:
• 19 March 2026 – 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• 20 March 2026 – 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Format:
Two-day training (16 teaching hours in total)

Training overview:
The course supports the development of teaching competences in the field of coaching, mentoring and tutoring methods in academic education.

Completion of the training confirms the acquisition of tutor-mentoring competences and provides an opportunity to join the group of LUT Tutors within the university-wide Tutoring Programme.

The programme includes the practical application of these methods in various teaching formats, including project-based learning, and focuses on strengthening student engagement and responsibility for the learning process.
