Dear Doctoral Candidates,
On behalf of the Board of the National Representation of Doctoral Candidates (Krajowa Reprezentacja Doktorantów), we are pleased to invite you to a nationwide, free-of-charge online training session devoted to the principles and practical aspects of implementing an Industrial Doctorate. The event will take place on 4 November 2026 (Wednesday) at 6:00 p.m. (CET) via Google Meet.

Speakers:
- Prof. Michał Wieczorowski, D.Sc., Eng. (Poznan University of Technology) Member of the ministerial advisory team responsible for evaluating applications and reports submitted under the Industrial Doctorate programme, and co-author of a study on best practices in the implementation of the programme.
- Dr Andrzej Kurkiewicz (Jagiellonian University) Co-creator of the Industrial Doctorate programme within the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Chair of the advisory team responsible for evaluating programme applications and reports, and co-author of a study on best practices in its implementation.
Topics to be covered:
- differences between pursuing a doctorate within the Industrial Doctorate programme and completing a doctorate outside the programme;
- the implementation schedule of an Industrial Doctorate throughout the successive years of study;
- guidelines for preparing annual reports;
- the final report and other reporting obligations.
The invitation is addressed to Industrial Doctoral Candidates, supervisors, assistant supervisors, as well as individuals not currently participating in the programme, particularly representatives of doctoral student councils and others interested in gaining a better understanding of the programme and supporting Industrial Doctoral Candidates.
