Dear Doctoral Candidates,
As the deadline for the mid-term evaluation is approaching, on behalf of the Director of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at the Lodz University of Technology, we are providing you with the cover letter (Appendix 1) concerning the mid-term evaluation and related documents.
We would like to kindly inform you that the deadline for submitting the documents necessary for the mid-term evaluation, viz:
- mid-term evaluation report on the implementation of the IRP, reviewed by the Supervisor(s) (Appendix 2),
- a presentation on the research results to date, together with a discussion of these results in correlation with the IRP (Appendix 3), by August 20, 2024 in paper version and in electronic version to the e-mail address: isd@adm.p.lodz.pl
- confirmation of scientific and/or artistic and popularisation achievements related to the implementation of the IRP,
- opinion of the Supervisor on the progress of the doctoral candidate (Appendix 4)
expires on 4 July 2024.
Both the mid-term evaluation report and the presentation must be prepared in English, with the exception of those pursuing an implementation doctorate, who may prepare the above documents in Polish.
The documents should be delivered in a folder to the IDS TUL Office in hard copy during the opening hours by July 4, 2024.
According to the schedule (Annex 5), the mid-term evaluation will take place from 2-13 September 2024. The exact date and time of the mid-term evaluation will be communicated to you individually in an email at a later date by the Mid-term Evaluation Committee.
The membership Mid-term Evaluation Committee will be made public (on the IDS TUL website) as soon as they are appointed by 28 June 2024.
The following factors will be taken into account in the mid-term evaluation:
1. assessment of the timeliness of the dissertation work schedule and its compliance with the Individual Research Plan,
2. assessment of the progress of the training programme,
3. assessment of scientific and/or artistic achievements and popularisation achievements related to IRP of the Doctoral Candidate,
4. assessment of the presentation prepared and delivered by the Doctoral Candidate;
5. evaluation of the answers to the questions of the Mid-term Evaluation Committee.
For articles published after the deadline for submission of the complete set of documents necessary for the mid-term evaluation (after 4 July 2024), it is possible to provide confirmation of the article's publication to the IDS TUL Office by 20 August 2024 together with the multimedia presentation in paper version and in electronic version to the e-mail address: isd@adm.p.lodz.pl.
