PhD position in Stretchable Organic Electronics.

Project description.

Our research team in the Department of Molecular Physics at the Lodz University of Technology (www.kfm.p.lodz.pl) investigates novel applications of mechanically flexible and stretchable organic electronics. Within the  framework of a project, you  will  be responsible for deposition of thin films on stretchable substrates and testing in electronic devices as well as studying their supramolecular structure. You will closely cooperate with members of the department and technical university, but also with external partners within international interdisciplinary cooperations. The results will be published in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals and communicated on international conferences by the applicant.

Requirements

An above average Master’s degree in chemistry, physics, material science or electrical engineering is required. Ideally, you have already a background in organic electronics or in thin film deposition of conjugated  polymers and molecules. This includes experimental techniques such as thin film deposition, electrical  and  optical  characterization methods. As researcher you work independently and creatively,  and enjoy working in cross-cultural and diverse teams and have a strong command of English.

Employment conditions: Doctoral scholarships in the range between PLN 3000 - 5000 gross depending on the stage of the PhD study, with the posibility of additional independent scholarships.

Employment conditions: Doctoral scholarships in the amount of PLN 4200 gross for 18 months (until the end of the grant) and then in the amount in accordance with Article 209 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science.
